RULES:

*Each bowler may bowl a maximum of only one-fifth of the total overs per innings. For a full, uninterrupted T20 match, this is 4 overs… 25 over match 5 overs and 30 over match 6 overs

*Should a bowler deliver a no ball by overstepping the popping crease, it costs 1 run and his next delivery is designated a “free-hit”. In this circumstance the batsman can only be dismissed through a run out, hitting the ball twice, obstructing the field or handling the ball.

*T20: If the fielding team do not start to bowl their 20th over within 75 minutes, the batting side are credited an extra six runs for every whole over bowled after the 75 minute mark. 25 overs: If the fielding team do not start to bowl their 25th over within 1 hour 40 minutes, the batting side are credited an extra six runs for every whole over bowled after the 1 hour 40 minute mark. 30 overs: If the fielding team do not start to bowl their 20th over within 2 hours, the batting side are credited an extra six runs for every whole over bowled after the 2 hour mark

*There are no fielding restrictions in this competition

*In the event of a tie points will be shared

* No balls and wides are worth 1 run

* Wides are at the umpire’s discretion

*Play to start as soon as possible ideally no later than 4pm for t20 and 9am for 25 or 30 over matches

This is a junior competition intended for years 9 & 10 if year 11’s and above are to play due to numbers then they MUST do the following:

Year 11’s (and or above) cannot bowl during the course of the match.

They must bat in the last position e.g. if there are 9 year 9’s and 10’s and 2 year 11’s they must be numbers 10 and 11 in the batting order.

If both team captains and or coaches agree prior to the start of the match that their older players be allowed to play a full part in the match then this is permissible but only if there is an agreement between both parties. (This will not be the case when playing the girls teams though and the above rules will be in place)
